The Longest Way Around

A 1.5 year walk round town and the neighbourhood
A journey to the exotic Far East
A skip and a hop and a fair way more
A long long way to go.

Be delighted, be frustrated
Beleaguered with the X on the map
Be transformed, be condemned
Be always, on the way up.

Catch the musings of the 5haunts,
Cue the darkening lights
Claim the humour in a joke gone wrong
Cast your eyes upon Jesus.

Do as would a wise man do
Dabble as a child too
Dance to the rhythm of a ticking clock
Debate philosophy too

Every one of 525, 600 minutes
Every half a time more.
Every step on this long and dainty road
Every memory...

Where the good things are worth waiting for.
