Black and White
Black-ish top.
White-ish trousers.
Black laptop bag.
White laptop.
Black Ipod.
White earphones.
Bible.
Great Gatsby. Hunchback of Notre-Dame Picture of Dorian Gray.
English in the ears.
HK in the mouth.
Dichotomy. Irony. Assymetry.
Illusions of greatness.
Delusions of destiny.
Dashed hopes of prosperity.
Fading into posterity.
Hope for the everlasting,
Threshing through the great claws of reality.
A dream? A painting?
Or a higher, true-er, invisibility?
Ears open,
Heart shut in.
Beating against the walls of despair-ity.
Always hearing, never perceiving.
The great tragedy, perhaps,
Of this 21st century.
Self-worshipping the only recognizable deity.
The mirror it holds,
The ultimate victory.
Arrogance. Pride. Hopelessness. Reality.
White light shining into a black hole.
Why shine, O' Light?
Why die, O' Lord?
Why hope, O' Man?
Or is there a higher hope?
A true-er truth?
A greater greatness?
A holier holy?
Unless there is. There has to be.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that all who believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
There is.
White.
